How close is the house to the University of Miami?
About 20 minutes on foot to campus. Downtown South Miami and Sunset Place are about 35 minutes on foot, the Metrorail about 25, and MetroConnect's free or extremely cheap on-demand rides cover the neighborhood.
Are the rooms in a shared house?
Yes. Each guest has a private, locking bedroom with a desk, mini fridge, and TV. The kitchen, living room, patio, garden, and laundry are shared with the other guests and the host. The Master Suite has its own bathroom; the queen rooms share a bathroom.
Is it good for a University of Miami campus visit?
That is what most families come for: tours, admitted-student days, orientation, and parents' weekend. Tour in the morning, walk back for lunch, and use the fast Wi-Fi and the kitchen in between.
Do you have rooms for Hurricanes game weekends?
Yes. Home football games are at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, reachable by Metrorail plus a rideshare. Basketball and other events at the Watsco Center are on campus, a short walk away.
Do you offer monthly or semester stays?
Yes. Contact us for longer stays. Travel nurses and residents at South Miami Hospital and Larkin, visiting scholars, and graduate students stay this way.
Can I stay for graduation weekend?
Yes, and book early. Commencement is in May and December and Coral Gables fills months ahead. Rooms sleep two; families often book several rooms in this house.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Self check-in with a door code from 3 pm. Check-out by 10 am. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible on request.
How fast is the Wi-Fi?
1 Gbps fiber on Wi-Fi 7, the latest protocol, with mesh coverage through the whole house, including the patio. Video calls and streaming are not a problem.
Is booking direct cheaper than Airbnb?
Yes. Booking here has no guest service fee. The rooms, prices, and calendar are the same on every site, so availability is identical.
What is the cancellation policy?
The cancellation policy is shown with each reservation and changes depending on the dates. Please verify the policy for your dates before booking.
Is there parking?
Off-street parking on site as available. If on-site parking is full, there is plenty of street parking a 20-second walk from the front door. EV charging on a NEMA 14-50 outlet is available for a fee if you ask before you arrive.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are welcome. Please inquire about rates if you plan on bringing a pet.
What are the quiet hours?
Quiet hours are 11 pm to 7 am. Other guests may be working or studying.
How do I get to the house?
Take a Lyft to the house. Once you are here, Uber works too, but it frequently gets the directions to the house wrong. From the airport or Brickell, allow extra time in traffic.
Can I have visitors?
Only with approval in advance. Rooms are for a maximum of two registered guests.
