Getting around without a car
The immediate neighborhood is walkable: campus, Sunset Place, restaurants, and grocery stores are all on foot. MetroConnect is South Miami's on-demand ride service, and rides are free or extremely cheap; guests use it for the Metrorail station and errands. Book rides in the MetroConnect app. It depends on availability and hours, so treat it as a convenience rather than a guarantee.
From South Miami station, Metrorail runs north to Brickell in about 15 minutes, and to the airport via the free MIA Mover. Hard Rock Stadium for Hurricanes home games is Metrorail plus a short rideshare.
Getting here
Miami International is about 20 minutes by car, and Brickell about the same; allow extra time in traffic. Take a Lyft to the house. Once you are here, Uber works too, but it frequently gets the directions to the house wrong.
Off-street parking on site as available. If on-site parking is full, there is plenty of street parking a 20-second walk from the front door. EV charging is available on request for a fee. Self check-in by keypad works at any hour, so late flights are fine.
